I am Susan Moncur, founder of Moncur Knitwear, a brand inspired by my passion for luxury, sustainability, and the vibrant textile heritage of the Scottish Borders. At the heart of my brand is my orange love heart logo, symbolising the care and creativity I pour into every design.

From cosy scarves to colourful gloves, each accessory is thoughtfully designed to bring affordable luxury to your look, while reflecting the colours, textures and craftsmanship of Scotland.

Inspired by the Scottish Borders

Based in the stunning landscapes of the Scottish Borders, my creative little studio is surrounded by rolling hills, rich colours and a thriving textile heritage. These elements inspire every Moncur Knitwear design, giving each piece a unique sense of place and story. 

Our luxury accessories are crafted using repurposed yarn from Scotland's renowned textile industry. By using these precious materials, we celebrate sustainability while minimising waste - because true luxury doesn't have to cost the earth!

I'm not just a designer - I am also a teacher, inspiring teenagers to explore careers in fashion and textiles. With over 20 years of industry experience, I've dedicated my life to celebrating beautiful textiles, sharing my expertise and encouraging the next generation of designers and makers.

Moncur Knitwear was born in 2020 from a dream I nurtured for many years. Today, my small independent brand reflects me and everything I love: luxury materials, sustainable practices and a kaleidoscope of colour, pattern and texture.
